 The Australian Metal Detecting and Relic Hunting forum has now been set up, however I do expect there will initially be some teething problems getting it working correctly. Please be patient whilst I work all of these initial issues out.
If you experience any problems, please make sure you let me know about them so I can address them as soon as possible.

This is a subscription free zone.
 After some deliberation I have decided that this website will have NO subscription area or advantages for different members.
I have been to several sites now where people pay to get extra options and features on the site, this is not something that I want to do as I feel that all the information should be available to all members. Visitors will not be able to post in the forums or gallery (when I get them up and running) but they will be able to browse everything.
One of my pet hates is that some sites make you join before you can even look around. I can assure you this will NOT be the case on this website.
I will however, be puting up a donation button so people can donate to help keep the site going. Please keep in mind that donatons do not entitle you to any extra things within the site and I will be be relying on people coming to the site and feeling that it is worth while to keep it going as long as possible.

Welcome to the Australian Metal Detecting and Relic Hunting site.
 This site is being constructed as a result of doing several failed Google searches for a dedicated Australian site where detectorists and relic hunters can gather to share their experiences or even hints and tips.
Don't get me wrong, there are sites out there but the majority are dedicated to the detecting of gold in Australia which is not a priority of this site. There are other sites out there also, like www.minelabowners.com , which seems to be a great site and has an australian chapter, however, it's mainly dedicated to the owners of Minelab Detectors.
The plan for the construction of this site is to get the main pages established, then a dedicated forum, then the inclusion of a photo gallery.
The site is intended for Aussies, however international guests are always welcome.
Please be patient with me whilst I set this all up.
